How to use Image Integrator for QuarkXPress¬
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Image Integrator is an XTension for the users of QuarkXPress¬ 3.1 and above.
This XTension allows you to import TIF and EPS image files directly from the
Adobe¬ Fetch¬ browser (included on this CD) into your QuarkXPress document.
For more information about Adobe Fetch browser, please read the ╥Mini User
Guide (CD-ROM)╙ located in the ╥Adobe Fetch 1.2 Browser╙ folder on this
CD.
Installing Image Integrator on your computer
------------------------------------------------------------
To install Image Integrator on your computer, copy the Image Integrator file
(located in the ╥QuarkXPress Users╙ folder on this CD) to your
QuarkXPress folder, and start QuarkXPress.
NOTE: If QuarkXPress was already running when you copied Image
Integrator, you must now restart QuarkXPress.
Using Image Integrator
-------------------------------
Ñ Start by creating a new document or opening an existing one in
QuarkXPress.
Ñ Open a Fetch catalog by double-clicking on the corresponding icon
located in the ╥Adobe Fetch 1.2 browser╙ folder on your CD. The
Adobe Fetch browser will start automatically.
Ñ Locate the image you want to import to QuarkXPress and highlight it by
clicking your mouse on it once. If more than one image is to be imported,
hold down the Command key while selecting multiple images.
Ñ Once selected, go under the ╥Item╙ menu and choose ╥Send Reference.╙
Ñ A box will appear with ╥Choose a program to link to.╙ Select
QuarkXPress under ╥Programs╙ and press ╥OK.╙
Ñ Return to QuarkXPress and an untitled box should now appear with the
name(s) of the image file(s) you selected.
Ñ Highlight the file(s) you wish to place. Multiple files can be selected by
holding down the command key while selecting.
Ñ Choose ╥Place╙ under the ╥Item╙ menu of your untitled box.
Ñ The image should now appear in your QuarkXPress document.
